Stitch Therapy

Discovering me … one stitch at a time

Around here…

Tom and I have been taking turns being sick.

The two older guys (Tom and Biggest) went to the beach house to go crabbing. Biggest caught 2 blue crabs and proudly cooked them.

Littlest and I went to the roller rink (old pic from last Summer, also known as my roller queen days)

And prepared a fondue feast for Tom and Biggest’s return home.

Sunday was cold and rainy, so…

I baked Pesto bread (which got weirdly tall), but tasted delicious.

Tom hung our new (old) lucky horseshoes above the doors.

Littlest sat at the top of the stairs creating comic book characters.

Biggest disappeared into his room (Preteen! No photos!)

Sammy did what Sammy does best.

Coal celebrated his 15th birthday!

Charlie hung out in a box.

What did you do this weekend?

Shopping Adventures!

  1. OMG. My computer just ate my post. Argh.

    — Did you use broth for your Fawn-due (hilarious!)
    — Happy birthday Coal!
    — I’m impressed with your bread baking. The furthest I’ve gotten is to buy dried yeast.

This weekend I slept till noon on Saturday. Then we went food and home goods shopping. Then I started cooking for our Sunday night dinner w/ a girlfriend. We also started our New Year’s Card. Fabs does the drawing so initially I’m just a snooty art director. Sunday there was more drawing, cooking and house cleaning.

It’s cold and grey and I’m not mentally ready for winter. Meh.

  2. Biggest must have been so proud of his catch. I do love his presentation! Looks great. I like the presentation of your welcome home meal, too. Beautiful. Last weekend hubby and I did a little shopping and lunch and hanging out. Sunday was filled with laundry and cleaning and a little stitching. This coming weekend I am having a psychic party and so looking forward to a good reading. Also have to dig my fall and winter clothes out and make the swap with the spring and summer clothes. Blah! I am not looking forward to winter. I am hoping for a long Indian Summer 🙂

  3. That sounds like a perfect weekend!
Ohhhhh! A psychic party!!! We have so many interests in common. I would love to hear about your reading!
I haven’t made the clothes switch yet either. That is such a dreaded task.

  4. Hi!!!
We used broth for the fondue. It was really tasty!
I have missed bread baking while I was gluten free, so am taking advantage of being off the diet right now.
What did you cook for Sunday dinner? I am impressed that you started your New Year’s Card already! You guys always do such an amazing job with it!!!
    Ugh Winter. 🙁

  5. The psychic party was good. Everyone had a great long reading. My step-mom showed up (from the other side) and stayed with me my entire reading. My kids are good and I don’t have to worry about them, hubby and I are both good. Going on vacation early next year, and 2017 is going to be a good year for my 🙂 It was a fun time. Forgot to ask about a few things I wanted to, so hopefully next time I can get those answers. Rainy today, so laundry, working some and maybe I will get to those darned clothes, ugh! Though it has been rather warm this week, so I haven’t needed the fallish clothes. Better get them out soon, though. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great week!

  6. Oh! That sounds like a great reading! I wonder where you’re going on vacation!!!

I love to hear from you!
